We live in the time of globalisation. The world is getting smaller and smaller. We are living closer and closer to each other. We are learning the same things, we are looking in the same way. There are very few differences between people in Warsaw and people in any other city in the world. I believe it is the best of what globalisation can give us. However, there is a danger that we would loose our national identity.
Many of us are afraid that there will be a day when nobody will remember his nationality. It is great problem, especially for small nations such as Lithuanians or Czechs. We are concerned when most of young people celebrate days like Halloween or Valentines Day forgetting about our national celebration days.
Taking into a consideration above-mentioned facts it seems that the process of vanishing our national identity is unstoppable. But in my opinion it is getting trendy to show that you are different in any way. So, why not show that you are Moldavian, Belgian or Polish. I put my great trust in sports, such as football or volleyball, when we are encouraging our national teams. I think it will not let us forget where are we from or who are we.
To sum up I strongly believe that our national identity will last forever.
